The ProKids Foundation was started to inspire and develop young kids through sports by researching, initiating, overseeing, and funding strategic rehabilitative needs and services.

Today, our city struggles to provide the resources and monies needed to maintain appropriate public sports outlets for our kids. ProKids rejects the notion that we are unable to organize and finance this important part of growing up.

The experience gained from a child’s participation in sports - from organized leagues to impromptu pick up games - fosters critical skills and behaviors that pay lifelong personal and professional dividends. Aside from just being fun, the educational and developmental benefits gained on the field include good sportsmanship, self discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and so much more.

ProKids is aimed at children 4 – 8 years old. We believe these years are paramount to instilling an appreciation for the fun and learning that sports can provide. Though they may not go pro in sports, if we can reach them now to build awareness and participation, we improve the likelihood that they’ll go pro in something.
